Le marché mondial de la climatisation représente actuellement
34 miliards de dollars US et progresse de 4 % par an jusqu'à
atteindre 39 milliards de dollar US fin 2004.
Perspectives de croissance par région
Les régions les plus performantes sont l'Europe du
sud et l'Est asiatique. Les consommateurs d'Europe du sud ont réalisé
que la climatisation est un confort abordable, aussi, les marchés
sont en forte progression mais de plus en plus dominés par les
acteurs de l'est asiatique - Japon, Korée, Thaïlande (principalement
en OEM) et surtout la Chine.
A cause de la situation d'instabilité militaire dans
la région, le marché indien n'a que modestement progressé
en 2001 mais devrait retrouver une croissance rapide en 2003.

The world market currently at US$34
billion will grow 4% from 2000 onwards to reach $39 billion by the end
of 2004.
Growth prospects by regio
The best performing regions are
Southern Europe and the East Asia region. As Southern Europe consumers
have woken up to the realisation that air conditioning is an affordable
commodity, so the markets have soared, but with more and more of the market
dominated by global minisplit players of the Far East - Japan, Korea,
Thailand (mainly OEM supply) and increasingly China.
Because of current uncertainty
with the military situation in the region, the Indian market is only experiencing
modest growth in 2001 but is expected to return to rapid growth in 2003.
